Does anybody know of a way to select a unique string of text from a PDF, and then report that unique string as metadata that I can be used by Switch down stream?
I have a series of PDFs entering a flow that have a unique number string, in the same location, that I don't have anywhere else, but need to extract so that I can use it to rename the PDF file.
I am running PP 2023 and PS 2023.
Find a variable string of text and report it as XML

Re: Find a variable string of text and report it as XML
If you make an action list which selects the text (should be possible if it is at the same location), you then log it and can the refer to it later with metadata.
Here is an action list.
And in Switch I have set Pitstop Server so save the log as XML and can then refer to the found text in the rename element.
Here is my action list, sample files and a Switch flow: https://d.pr/f/UPSYAS
