Is it possible to cleanly bypass a 'Hold job' element using a time window without messing up file names and Switch prefixes?
We need to do this every so often for escalated priorities or to get things back on track if issues occurred.
We've run into issues copying files from the folder before the hold and pasting them in the folder after it because the Switch prefix becomes part of the filename going forward. This means a lot of our later programming that depends on the filename is broken.

Whenever you manually copy a file and place into a folder the unique prefix will always be part of the name, I don't think there is away around it. We have done something similar where branch from the folder to another which will copy all jobs, then the connection between that folder and the folder after the hold, delete all the files we don't need to rush and then let that one pass though. Kind of clunky but it's a rarity for us so it's worked well.

Do you mean within a switch flow like I mentioned with a file? If so, it's the same, they will both still keep the same name, but be identified as different by the unique prefix switch adds. When a folder/file leaves switch or goes to a auto managed folder ( a folder outside of switch ) you can have it keep the unique prefix, remove the unique prefix and overwrite duplicates, or add a suffix like _01 to the name to keep all versions.
