How to impose multiple page sizes correctly in Switch?

Post by skylerclooney »

Hi everyone, I’m Skyler. I’ve been working with Enfocus Switch for about two months, and I’ve started using the Switch Imposition module.
I have a job where different page sizes need to be imposed in the same flow. For example, some PDFs are A4 and some are A5, and they all need to end up on the same press sheet with the correct trim and bleed. When I send them through, the output is inconsistent: sometimes the A5 pages don’t scale correctly, other times the whole sheet shifts so the trim marks are off.
I tried using a single imposition template, but it doesn’t seem to handle mixed sizes properly. I’m not sure if I should be creating multiple templates, adding conditions in the flow, or if there’s a smarter way to handle this.
Has anyone dealt with combining different page sizes in one Switch Imposition flow? If so, how did you set it up? Any advice or example flows would be really appreciated.
Thanks,
Skyler

With the Imposition functionality in callas pdfToolbox, which is very powerful and flexible, you can create a sheet with different sizes of pages.
For example A5 card and business cards on the same sheet.

There is no module for Switch that goes by the name "Switch Imposition Module". There are multiple ways of imposing files using Switch, so please be more specific about the functionality that you are using.
