RGB Colour to Spot Colour

Post by cwhiteley »

Hello Everyone,

I'm trying to trying to convert a RGB colour to a spot colour in switch but when I look through the pitstop action list I can remap the colour to another colour or I can convert the spot colour to another colour but I can't see how I convert a colour to a spot colour. Any suggestions?

Many Thanks

Hi,
you can try selecting the RGB element by colour then remap colour

Hi Malcolm,

Thanks for your reply. When I do these steps I don't seem to get a choice in which Pantone colour I would like, any suggestions?

Many Thanks

Not sure why, maybe a PitStop Version issue.
What version are you on please?

That looks like it's from PitStop Server.
You don't have access to the Color Picker and Grab options in PitStop Server as the color databases aren't present.

The way to do this would be in PitStop Pro and then to import the Action List into Server either as an Action List or an Action List embedded in a Preflight Profile.

Managing PitStop Server on a VM can definitely get tricky when it comes to resource allocation. One thing that usually helps is ensuring your VM has a fixed amount of RAM assigned rather than dynamic memory, as PitStop can be quite resource-heavy during peak processing.
If you are still seeing performance lags, you might want to double-check the "Number of simultaneous processes" in your PitStop Server settings. Sometimes lowering that number slightly helps the VM handle the background tasks more smoothly without hitting a bottleneck.
