Hello everyone,
does anyone have experience with processing content credentials in Switch with Photoshop?
When I resave a PSD file with content credentials in a Switch flow with the Photoshop configurator, the content credentials are then missing.
I have activated Content Credentials in the Photoshop preferences.
Thank you very much for your support!
Best regards,
Peter Fischer

Re: Photoshop Content Credentials
I can see the same behaviour. But also the same behaviour for running an ExtendScript for saving the file As a copy and Content Credentials are equally stripped away.
Content Credentials are quite new and I presume the Scripting engine leads to a file write which is not preserving those info. I have tried to see if UXP Scripts would, but couldn't get the saveAs to work. Anyway, Switch would use as of today the ExtendScript way so it doesn't really matter.
Long story short, not working and shouldn't for as long Adobe doesn't get Credentials to be saved with Scripting and that the Switch might be upgraded.
I would suggest that you create a support case so that this is properly investigated and worst case scenario, put as a FR somewhere.
Note that there is a binary tool for C2PA, so I thought that may have been some workaround possible by first step extracting Content Credentials, and reinject them later. But the CLI tool doesn't support PSD as it seems.

I am not sure there is a viable approach just now.

Re: Photoshop Content Credentials
Hello Loic,
Thank you for your feedback.
Content credentials are still a relatively new topic, but it is conceivable that legal requirements for labeling AI-generated content could very quickly become acute.
At the moment, we are not yet planning any productive use; it's more about researching feasibility. Even open source tools such as ImageMagick do not yet support content credentials out-of-the-box.
Nevertheless, thank you for your information and opinions.
Best regards,
