Sudden Cloud Resource Syncer in Menu

Just updated to 26.03, but now I get a extra menu-item above, 'Cloud Resource Syncer'.
I don't want it, don't need it. How can I get rid of this?

Hi

This is indeed a tool that is brought with PitStop 26.03 that makes syncing resources with Enfocus Cloud more visible. If you are using Resource Syncing, any changes would result in a sync operation that will be visible in that dialog for the time of the sync. We just added a UI to a headless service that was already present.

There is no real harm to let it. If you don't use Resource Syncing, it will just do nothing and not really consuming any resources.

If you really want to remove it, you would need to remove that service from the startup apps. But keep in mind that if later you want to get advantage of Resource Syncing, it will no longer work without this Cloud Resource Syncer being active.

I understand, but I dislike lots of icons in the menu bar, can this be disabled without disabling the software itself?

I notice that when the Syncer is active all my programs are interrupted every few seconds. So I'll be in Indesign, illustrator, and suddenly it switches to Acrobat and back, is this specific for me, or can you replicate this?

Is there really no way to easily uninstall 26.03 and go back to 25.11? The 'old' installer keeps reporting the newer version.

What you describe is a known bug and was addressed for PitStop 26.07 which will be released by a week from now. I would rather invite you to wait and upgrade to the July release.

Just installed the new update, no issues with interruptions anymore.
However I do find it annoying that the Resource Syncer sits in my menu bar, and have no need of it.
Is there any way to disable this?

What does this menu item look like?

I had an unexpected menu item for an online syncer appear i guess a a week or 2 ago assumed Id inadvertently installed somethign and hunted prefs, login files etc to delete it.

Its very bad user practice to just randomly instal these apps and not be very explicit about it.
Id expect a splash screen after install to explain what it is (with screen grabs) and how to remove it.

We dont have collegues on other machines so it useless to us.

I agree, it would be better to have an option to hide the icon/function.
For us it is useless.
