InDesign to PDF Config = Useless Error Messages

Post by rgpepper »

Maybe I’m missing something, but, when using the included Adobe InDesign to PDF configurator (with ID CC 2015), and I set the “Fail jobs with unavailable fonts” (and images) flags to yes, there is no useful data in the Job: [FailMessage] or [FailFlow] or [FailElement] metadata, all it does is list the contents of the InDesign package folder… I was hoping for more, is there _supposed_ to be more data than that?

The InDesign configurator allows you to add an outgoing log connection of type log, have you tried to enable it already?

At the moment I only have an InDesign package with missing Images handy, but if I process it, then the XML log outputted on the log connection lists all missing Images.
