Best way to deal with Transparencies?

Post by RytisT »

Hello. What is the best way to deal with transparent objects? Rasterize them? Removing transparency is not really an option, since it changes the design too much. Anyone maybe have any ideas? Thanks.

The only reason you would want to "deal" with transparency is if you don't have up to date modern PDF renderer that can handle transparency.
In such case it is best to flatten it.
Flattening can be tricky, depending on design and what was used to create it.
Last resort would be to rasterize it.
Depending on the design there are different methods that will give you different results.

I don't know much about the newest PDF rendering thingy, but I do know that from time to time, transparency do causes trouble.

Just thought I'd try to find out what people use, what works best :)
