I'm looking to improve my skills working with Indesign and XML. Anyone need help implementing a Switch workflow that involves these two pieces?

How about tweaking the HP Smartstream Designer Workflow so that it

a) gets a predefined name where to write the files to or

b) doesn't lose job information coming from switch

I already asked HP to work on that... but if you want to dig into InDesign scripting this sounds like a good challenge to me ;)

I don't have access to HP's software; however, I may be building a new workflow that uses it next month.

HP changed the licensing for the software, it is now free of charge as long as you stay within the following constraints:

This free edition will allow you to produce an unlimited amount of jobs for 90 days. After that you will be limited to producing only 100 records at a time. As soon as you need more, we’ll be happy to talk to you about our Desktop edition.
