Let's say I set a preflight profile to check for ink coverage. Perhaps we set it to 320.

When we run it the page is flagged as having objects over density.

Is there a way for the report to show the percentage of the page area that is over density?

So instead of just this:

"Total ink coverage is more than 320% (1x on page 1)
Found: 1 object in page 1"

could it also show that that n% of the page area is over density.

If not that, set a threshold for the preflight so it yields an error only if n% of page is over ink.

Thats's not possible currently. the only tolerance you have is to set the area of ink coverage that will generate an error.

ie 5mm sq of over ink coverage not an error, 10mm over coverage error.

Can I ask why you need the percentage of the page area?

Another report to look at would be the 'ink usage'. This tells you how much ink of each separation is needed to print the file.
