Hi all,

I have a 17,000 page pdf document that has a wide variety of page sizes in it and I have created a group of actions that I want done to the pages (rotate all to portrait, set media box, etc) and it all works ok. The issue is it takes a VERY long time to process the 17K pages, I wanted to know if I can run all of this as a command line operation. This would greatly speed up the processing of the actions on the pdf file.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can trigger a job via the command line, however the only time you will save is the time it takes for the hotfolder to see the file and be sure that the file is fully written in that location. So the maximum processing time you can gain is the scanning interval of the hotfolder + the value of the "process files only after" setting in the processing category of the PItStop Server preferences.

I don't expect you will win much time by using the command line, processing a 17.000 page file just takes time.

Edit: I missed that you posted in the PItStop Pro forum. Command line processing is only available in PitStop Server. If you are using PitStop Pro, then using PItStop Server might increase processing speed a bit because it doesn't have to show a UI, but I don't expect miracles.
