Hello,
I want to change the existing web links in a PDF to another URL. Can I achieve this with PitStop on-board resources?
If so, which module can I use?
JavaScript links are not an option.
Thanks.
is it possible to change web links
Re: is it possible to change web links
That is not possible.
I would like to add a few things about the feasibility of changing web links: it is not trivial! Links in PDF files have two aspects: the URL and the visual representation. The visual representation will usually be a text, the URL is technically an annotation that is linked to the text. Changing the URL in the annotation would be easy enough, and if the text is "Click here" the problem is solved. If, however, the text is also the URL then you also have to change the text and then the party starts. "The string https://www.enfocus.com is a URL" consists of three text segments. Text segments in PDF have a starting point at an X,Y position. If the URL changes and becomes longer then you also have to move "is a URL" to the right, etc. Reflowing text in PDF is a nightmare.
