100 page limit?

Post by magnussandstrom »

Hi, the other day I noticed that there seem to be a limit of 100 pages per Griffin Auto job. The job fails and in the Switch messages it says: "Maxium of 100 products allowed". I have never read this in any documentation. Could someone confirm this? Maybe it's a varible that I can change somewhere?

In this case I had to use another solution to impose the job, and it just feels kind of awkward.

To split the job before griffin and then merge it again after the nesting was not an option for various reasons in my specific case.

Sounds like a similar restriction to Phoenix's base set up which restricts to 50 / 100 products per project: https://docs.tilialabs.com/phoenix/user ... ducts-plus

Looks like it's a hard limit in Griffin. Link to the docs where it mentions it.https://docs.tilialabs.com/griffin/user ... dd-artwork

I know in Phoenix it's 50 max per project, but you can get a module that increases it to 2000. Not sure if there is something similar for Griffin where you can purchase additional capacity.

There is a limit of 100 pages or 100 items.

Yes, the page limit doesn't make it easy.
I'm looking for a solution that counts the total number of pages to be nested.

It would be helpful to create a job folder with a maximum number of pages - and not jobs.

Looks like Griffin is actually missing some essential features for smaller companies that Phoenix has. But Phoenix is really an Overkill for us, since you already bought Pitstop Server, Switch and Griffin! That is also a big investment!!!! I hope Enfocus will add some small simple features in future updates of Griffin!

My reqeust:
- Autofill sheet with minimal waste
Enfocus Pitstop Pro | Enfocus Pitstop Server | Enfocus Switch | ArtiosCad | Workflow Designer
Linkedin | GraphicWorld bv.

Last week I had a meeting with an Enfocus Customer Success representative. We covered a lot of topics, but one of the key discussions was about the absence of a user-driven feature request portal for Enfocus products. She informed me that a feature request portal is in development and should be launched in the near future, although no specific timeline was provided.

During our conversation, we went over the various Enfocus products we're using, and Griffin was one of them. She requested that I send her an email outlining our feature requests for Griffin until the official request portal is live.

Here’s what I sent her regarding Griffin:

Griffin Auto feature requests:

1. Ability to restrict ”no of ups” in both Width and Height directions.
2. Ability to impose a multipage job were the page order is preserved even if pages is divided on several sheets, with the option of both ’step-and-repeat’ and ’n-up’.
3. Ability to add marks for roll cutters (fotoba and Neolt etc.)
4. Ability to impose more then 100 pages in one job.
5. When a job fails, there should be an option to output a log in output folder in Switch, now you need to manually look in Switch messages to see why a job failed.
6A. Ability to allow a sheet to be ”filled” no matter the input quantity.
6B. Ability to output only 1 layout for each job with a ”filled sheet”, even if the quantity is higher then what is possible to fill on the sheet.

Feel free to add to the list.
