Shapes as comments

Hoping someone can assist.

We've had some art come in where the customer is drawing boxes as a comment in a pdf and it views and proofs correctly but of course will not print in production or on normal office printer with Comments and Forms selected as Document and Markups we missed in preflight due to it viewing properly.

Is there a way to embed these comments and make them part of the PDF, or fail it as preflight profile check when it passes though pitstop server? I never ran into this issues in all these years and now it's come up a few times in the past week.

There is a standard action list named "Flatten Annotations".
I think it does what you need.

Thanks Jimmy,

I actually tried that, it just removes them vs keeping them in the file.

Weird. It tried it on a file with drawn annotations.
Are you allowed to share the file?

Hi Jimmy, it seems our company computers block this url. A colleague of mine could download it.
What you described has been registered as a bug to be fixed.
Thanks for reporting ;)

I can PM you the file, but I don't think I can post it publicly. I'll send it after this is posted.

It is a weird file. Because if I make a rectangle with the comment tool (as one of the other comments are), and then flatten annotations it is visible.
But the ones made by your customer is not.

Maybe share it with Enfocus. Because if it is regular annotations and it does not get flattened maybe it is a bug of the action.

Thanks, I'll do that. Thanks for taking a look.
