Critical parser failure: XObject resource missing

Post by Gustavo »

Hi, I am getting the following error
Critical parser failure: XObject resource missing

The page has text and an hyperlink to a website.
I tried running Generic Press 3.0 and it gets the error.

Then I run Generic Office 3.1 which does have less guards.
Then I run select/flatten annotations (there are yellow highlights) and change the media size and shrink images to fit.

Can you please suggest which is the reason that generates the error and how do you think that I could try to resolve it?
Thanks in advance

The reason is obvious: the PDF was created by an application/producer that does not always create a correct PDF.

What is wrong with the file I can only tell after having seen it. Can it be fixed? The fact that something is missing does not sound promising, but you never know.
