Hot Folder Monitor (V5)

Post by pfischer »

Hello together,
We are regularly informed about orphaned files in a hotfolder.
This folder also contains some subfolders, which also contain some files, but are not important for the workflow.

Previously, Hot Folder Monitor only informed you about the files at the top level (in the example, 11112222.psd and 33334444.psd) and did not take into account the subfolders in the main folder.
Since our update to Switch 2024 and Hot Folder Monitor V5, all files in the subfolders ("alt" - all 5 PSDs included) are also included in the info mail, so that the mail is very extensive and confusing. We only want to be informed about the 2 files at the top level.
Is it possible to limit Hot Folder Monitor to only 1 folder level?

There are some new options in V5: "exclude" some files. I tried it with "exclude job folder" but that doesn't work, because the subfolder are not folders managed by Switch, but are created externally.-

Thanks for your help.

Hi friends,
are there no ideas to solve the problem?

To explain the problem again:
I want to deactivate the recursive search, i.e. limit the search of Hot Folder Monitor to the root folder only.

---
Quote from the documentation:
The app checks the hot folder recursively. In other words, when all the hot folders
monitored by an application share the same root folder, it is not necessary to create an app
instance for every single folder, it is enough to monitor the root folder.
---

Thanks in advance.
