Thumbnail in custom Preflight Report?

I currently use PitStop Server for a number of things and am working on some custom Preflight Reports. I would like a thumbnail of the file being preflighted to appear on the first page of the report. Is there a way to do this within PitStop server or by customizing the preferences of the custom report? BTW, I'm not looking to buy Switch just for this purpose as I have tools that can also do this with a bit of heavy lifting.

Hi,

The good news, you don't have to buy Switch as the Switch Core Engine* is part of PitStop Server and you get a lot of advantages for…free.
So Yes I think a flow is what you need. You could rescale a copy of the document, rasterize, and overlay this PDF on the Preflight Report.

That would be my approach.

*for any other Switch features, you would indeed need to buy Switch but there are upgrade paths available.

Thank you @loicaigon for the suggestion. I will have to try this out.

Hi Loïc

Is there any trick to manipulate the preflight report with Pitstop Server.
If I try to run a report through Pitstop Server it always fails with the error that it is a report document. I have to say this is an annotated report.

Report documents - including annotated - are not meant to be processed as PDFs. I think the only way to trick PitStop into seeing them as PDFs is to remove the embedded report database, which can be done only with low-level editing such as Enfocus Browser or some command-line tools. The thing to remove is the 'FICL:Enfocus' key in the document catalog.
