Best way to auto-preflight PDFs with PitStop Pro before sending to RIP?

Hi, I'm working in a print production environment and we currently use Enfocus PitStop Pro for manual preflighting. I'd like to know the best way to automate the preflight process, so that all incoming PDFs are checked for things like low-res images, missing fonts, or wrong page sizes before they reach the RIP.

Is there a recommended workflow using PitStop Pro or would Enfocus Switch be required for this kind of automation?

PitStop Pro does not do automation; you will need PitStop Server. You don't need Switch really, but note that PitStop Server comes with a basic Switch license so you lose nothing by trying it out.

In PitStop Server you create "hot folders". These are folders on disk that are monitored by PitStop Server. When any file appears in one of those folders, it will automatically be processed and sent to a specified output folder.
