Image grey mode

Hello
In an Illustrator file, I import a grayscale image with an embedded profile and export it to PDF with an "x" setting.
I do the same thing in InDesign, still using the "x" setting.
I then open these PDFs in Acrobat and select each one image to see their characteristics in the Enfocus inspector, which doesn't give me the same image characteristics; one is grayscale without a profile, and the other (from Illustrator) is displayed as a black spot. I don't understand why I have two pieces of information for the same image.
Thank you for your help.
