Hi All -

I'm updated to the new Phoenix 25.11 and we are noticing our PDF marks do not work, the artwork always displays as just blank. They work as expected in the pervious version. Even when making new marks, when you select the file location in the mark setup, it just appears blank.

Any experiencing this? and any known fix?

We've not upgraded to 25.11 yet but I was planning to do it soon, I guess I'll hold off of this for now

I just did so we'll see what they say. Otherwise I didn't see any other issues yet. We do about 50/50 between the desktop app and using Phoenix in Switch.

Awesome, let me know what they come back with. We're fully using Phoenix via the API with some calls to it from Switch. The past few updates have had no issues for us so good to know about this one before upgrading.

Will do, we also are doing a lot with the API but also just using the Phoenix2Switch app - I've had no issues on any of our automations, just the PDF marks. I'll update once I hear something.

Please check the exported PDF. Does it contain your mark? Can you see this mark in output preview mode? Does the mark contain the All or Registration colors?

Mark is set as Registration. It does export but it's not viewable within the layout in Phoenix unless in output preivew so setting them up is less than ideal. When in output preview within Phoenix you are restricted on using tools does not help showing the mark since you can not make any changes to the layout or placement while in that view.


When should we expect a fix?

The issue is already escalated to the R&D. It is related to the replacement of the rasterization engine from Adobe to Esko and is awaiting investigation. As soon as I have any news, I will notify you immediately.
