I have loaded a set of files into PitStop Server and the naming variable is set to %Current Document Name%. However when it is outputted the unique prefix remains in the document title. How can I resolve this issue. We have PitStop Server 12 & Switch 12.

Create a variable and set it to Job.Name or Job.NameProper

Thanks for the quick response! Does the variable need to be in pitstop or Switch?

There is KB article:

How to setup Smart Preflight in the Switch PitStop Server configurator and PitStop Server

You'll find all the steps you need to do.

Furthermore there is a sample flow which uses variables:

Add barcode

I have a similar problem and trying to solve this now.

I'm running into problem then I'm going to activate the variable in Switch.

Can anyone confirm that Switch 11 update 5 and Pitstop Server 12 update 2 can use the same variable-files? I'm getting a error that says; "Flow validation error: Invalid property value för 'Variable Set'." Or do I need to have Switch 12?

EDIT: I can answer my self. Yes, you need the same version of Switch and PitStop Server.. Now it works..

Yes, it is the same. I need to have the filename in the bleed area of the pdf, so we can see on the printed file which file/print it is..

And I follow the KB article that 'compendio' linked to.

Here are some picture of the settings;

This is the before Action List setting.

This is the setting in Pitstop Pro's variable setting.

This is the setting in the Action List.

This is the setting in Switch PitStop Server configurator.

And last, this is the setting in Switch PitStop Server variable setting.

This fix the problem.
