Prepare Your PitStop Pro Environment for Adobe's August Protected Mode Rollout

Post by loicaigon »

Adobe has announced that starting in August 2026, Protected Mode will be enforced in Acrobat and the option to disable it will be removed. The rollout will begin with macOS users, with Windows users following later.

To help customers prepare for this transition, Enfocus delivered Protected Mode compatibility in PitStop Pro 26.07. Customers running PitStop Pro 26.07 or later are already prepared for the upcoming Acrobat changes.

What does this mean for you?

Enfocus introduced Protected Mode compatibility in PitStop Pro 26.07 to ensure a smooth transition to Adobe's upcoming Acrobat security model.
  • If your organization is running PitStop Pro 26.07, no action is required.
  • If you are running an earlier version, we strongly recommend scheduling your upgrade now, before Adobe's update reaches your environment.
Why upgrade now?

Updating ahead of Adobe's rollout allows you to:
  • Maintain uninterrupted PDF production workflows
  • Avoid unexpected compatibility issues after Acrobat updates
  • Plan and validate your deployment on your own schedule
  • Ensure continued access to PitStop functionality once Protected Mode becomes mandatory
Enfocus is ready. Are you?

PitStop Pro 26.07 was specifically designed to support Adobe's Protected Mode requirements, helping customers continue working smoothly as Adobe introduces these platform changes. Don't wait for Acrobat to update automatically in your environment. Taking action now gives your team time to deploy and validate the update before the August rollout begins.
