Pitstop Server - does it have a limit of how many pages it can process?

Anyone experienced a situation where Pitstop Server seems to not have processed the whole multipage document ?? We are working with docs that comprise of thousand of pages, yet when running various action / preflight profiles, I have just discovered that the report is only showing the first 1000 pag...

Re: Add data to the description metadata of a pdf

you can also create yourself a template for the metadata you want updated and then inject that template and update all metadata that way.
The template can be easily generated via Acrobat and exported to a XMP document.

See my working flow doing exactly that.

Re: First impression

That kind of volume you need something like PitStop Server and it's correction capabilities. Thank you Andrew for your input, indeed we have Switch and PitStop Server engaged taking the load :) I was just curious to find out whether the BP could somehow be quicker and consistent with regards to wha...

Re: Regex again (string between first and last underscore)

It has been queried many times over since at least 2017 release of Switch, yet seemingly not enough needed, since it has not been implemented in full yet. They know of this being useful to have full Regex in Switch, but it is not easy to get it implemented apparently. I mean, this is what I was told...

Re: First impression

Tested. Daily we process 3000-5000 files ranging between 20K-50K pages. Each job can be somewhere between 50-200 documents/files. 75% is not PDF, but native office documents. the 25% being PDFs are 99% with problems, which according to BP qualify them for rejection. In our case - the people submitti...

Re: Initiate a job at a designated point in time / last day of the week / month etc.

Thank you Freddy P. That could help indeed :) I will try to use this method in the future, since I have already found a working solution for this particular need - the job is a bunch of files injected from repository using a wildcard, triggered by the dummy initiated at 23:59 pm on the last day of e...

Re: Initiate a job at a designated point in time / last day of the week / month etc.

There are properties on the flow itself that allow to define when the flow can run. Thank you kindly, but that does not help.... It is not the whole flow that needs to be initiated at a designated moment in time, but a job, that needs to be started. I understand that Switch allows for no control of...

Initiate a job at a designated point in time / last day of the week / month etc.

Hi all; Is it at all possible to initiate a job intelligently on the last day of the week / month or sth alike ?? There are options to have a dummy started / job injected etc. at intervals, but seemingly no obvious way crosses my mind if I wanted to start a job at a designated point in time. Last da...

Re: PDFTK does not output PDFs in Switch unless manual folder scan is invoked

I shall report that the suggested amendments did the job and indeed it works as expected. Which on the other hand I am finding strange, since we've been using PDFTK in our flows for the last 3 years and it never worked with "%2" for the output, yet it always did with a fixed path, as exampled earlie...

Re: PDFTK does not output PDFs in Switch unless manual folder scan is invoked

Will check that later. I chose a defined path however as the "%2" never worked for me....
Will report after the changes.
Interesting though....

PDFTK does not output PDFs in Switch unless manual folder scan is invoked

Hello clever heads :) I am experiencing an annoying issue with PDFTK server, which seems it does not output PDFs to a folder of choice, unless I go Scan Folders Now manually from the right-click in Switch. Until then, no PDF is produced..... Anyone had anything like that ?? The command is fairly sim...

Re: Add appendix pdf after every page of letter pdf

Well - it can be automated with Quite Hot Folders. But I presume you do not have that one either.... We've been using Quite for years and it was a natural choice to keep things that way when we implemented Switch. But I understand not everyone has got it, in favour of other tools. Yet - this seemed ...

Quite Imposing - insert pages ('from file' at interval).

Re: Ungroup timeout

@Zoranj - for merging pdfs Apago had a soft which worked based on hotfolders. We use PDF Combine Pro from the CLI. Straightforward server almost like app, without gui, that works OK ish... Few hundred of pdfs totalling hundreds and most often thousands of pages it can process in just couple of minut...
