Can you deactivate from the users machine or do you have to have whoever is your office administrator do the deactivation?

Recently a technician from Heidelberg set up my system to use their Prinect system. In doing so, they changed the name of my Mac M1 box, running Sonoma 14.7.2 and that then kicked me out of Pitstop Pro.
