Product Key

Post by maccuardi »

Recently a technician from Heidelberg set up my system to use their Prinect system. In doing so, they changed the name of my Mac M1 box, running Sonoma 14.7.2 and that then kicked me out of Pitstop Pro. We have tried multiple times getting new product keys, resetting my current one, etc. Has anyone else experienced this issue of not being able to get past the message that the Pitstop Pro program is already on an existing computer, merely because the name of the computer was changed? I would change the name back to the original name but then that would kick me out of the Prinect software. Thank you for any help anyone can provide.

Hi,

I would invite you to contact support for such cases. For what it is worth, you normally can force deactivate a key but it seems that in your case, you would need to change the machine name once so that you can access PitStop, deactivate, change machine back to get your prinect back, then activate again.

Can you deactivate from the users machine or do you have to have whoever is your office administrator do the deactivation?
