Make trace path (and crop by trimbox)

Post by magnussandstrom » Mon Feb 01, 2021 11:21 am

Hi, I'm trying out the 'Make trace path' feature in Pitstop Pro. I almost get the results I'm looking for, but I want the created path to be cropped/substracted by the trimbox of the PDF.

This is the result im getting:

Here is the Pitstop Action: https://cargo.tabergmediagroup.se/cargo ... Hk-_FF.zip

Any help would be appriciated!

Best regards, Magnus

Hi Magnus

I think the attached does what you want?
You just need to sort out the overprint as I did not do that.

BTW: did you get my emails about the new PDF Review module Beta?

Afraid it won't work in 2019. We added the new functionality in 2020.

Good plan. Remember as well PitStop 2021 will be out this year, so probably best to include a maintenance contract so you get that included.

Thanks a lot Andrew, your action works exactly as I intended!

I've been on paternity leave for a while that's why I haven't been involved with the PDF Review Beta. But I'm back at work since last week but had some catching up to do. Jan S told me that the PDF Review 2.0 would be released in february so maybe it's to late to do any beta testing by now?

Hi Magnus, or should I say 'Dad'?

You can still jump on the beta if you wish. You should have all the info and there is a hosted server.
There are a few weeks of beta left, and you can run side-by-side with your production system
Jan is all over it, so you have the choice.

Speak soon
