I receive thousands of TIFs from two different RIPs for comparison over a period of weeks and have to check whether they separate differently. To do this I use Callas PDF Compare after I have automatically converted the TIF to PDF. Everything is OK so far in the test. But finding the identical TIFs in two different source folders with a time offset is causing problems.
Therefore, I would like to monitor only one source folder and search for the file with the memorized name in the other source folder when it arrives. Then rename it (so that they do not overwrite each other) and make both available together in one folder for PDF Compare.
Does anyone have a tip on how I can remember the name of the first incoming TIF (PDF) and use it to search for the other TIF (PDF)? A beginner's topic, but I can't find the solution.
Thanks in advance! Greetings, Jürgen
Find a PDF with the same name and put both in one folder
Re: Find a PDF with the same name and put both in one folder
You can use the app Inject XML for this.
You create a simple XML with the filename of the file you need to find. This XML is then stored on disc somewhere.
The Inject XML is then set to pick up the XML that have the file name to pick up with Inject Job

Hi Jan,
I will implement this suggestion tomorrow, it sounds logical.
Thank you!
