Quick Run bug? [SOLVED]

Post by lucero21414 »

I have a Quick Run that's supposed to run 3 action lists in the exact order that they are listed, but for some reason, the file ends up different from what is intended. When I run the 3 action lists manually in the proper order, everything works as expected. It just doesn’t work when I add the action lists to a Quick Run.

Basically, what I'm trying to do is set up the PDF in book layout (front cover, inside spreads, back cover). However, since I'm using the "impose document" action and the PDF page count is not a multiple of 4, it's adding blank pages to the front and back cover, so I added the other actions to essentially trim off the extra white space from those spreads. I have it set up as follows:
  • Impose document (reader)
  • Select page range 1, R1 and split those pages in half vertically
  • Remove the resulting blank pages
I’m not sure if there is some kind of bug with using a Quick Run for this, or if there is a specific way to set it up. Any insight would be appreciated. (Also, if there is a better way to accomplish what I’m trying to do, I’m open to that too).

Thank you!

Can you try to add a Split action list to the end of the action lists and see if that changes anything in the Quick Run.
As I understand it this will make the next actions be aware of the changes from the previous actions.
