Hi everyone,
I would like to create an action list that can check the solid and tint areas for spot colors. The reason I need this is that we often receive spot UV or glitter PDF files from our clients, and we need to make sure those UV or glitter areas (which clients define as spot colors in the PDF) are solid. We cannot apply 50% UV or glitter.
In my Action List Editor, I set up the following sequence:
Select spot color → Check for solids and tints → Effective solidness threshold → 100%.
The UV files I receive are pixelated, and some pixels around the stroke area are not solid, while the fill area pixels within the shape are solid. Those UV areas are some set into text lines and some set into paths. As a result, the report always says that the “spot UV has a tint less than 100%.”
Is this related to the tinted pixels around the stroke? How can I make the action list check only the fill area and ignore the stroke when determining solidness?
Thank you so much for any guidance!

Re: Check solid of the spot color area
When I look at the file all the UV is bitmap/image, so that way the is no concept of fill and stroke.
So I can not see a way do this check.
But maybe another forum user has a good idea.
