Hello everyone,
I'm new here, but I thought you all could assist. I'm now seeking for someone to handle our workflows with Enfocus Switch and PitStop. I had trouble deciding what I should include in the job advertisement or what the job title should be. Does anyone have any suggestions on this or know anyone searching for work in the Milwaukee area?
Thanks!

I'm not sure what to put in the job description but I understand your issue.aptonto wrote: ↑Fri Dec 13, 2024 7:56 am Hello everyone,

I'm in Madison and run our entire Automation and workflow development. If found it was easier to either migrate someone from prepress who has an understanding of print, file prep and how jobs flow through the shop or find someone with prepress experience and train them in Switch since most prepress uses Pitstop they already have that understanding versus getting someone who had any development or scripting experience and trying to train them on print and file prep.
Since we were in the need for things well beyond Switch we have also now hired a full developer, I use them also to help me with any scripting that I'm unable to do. Best of luck on your search

Re: New Position for Enfocus Switch
This role requires a broad range of skills, including prepress expertise, development capabilities, change management, and the ability to train colleagues—making it a true "Swiss army knife" position.
In my experience, it’s often easier to train someone with a prepress background who is willing to learn basic development skills or has some IT knowledge.
The ideal setup is a partnership between a developer and a prepress expert, ensuring coverage during absences like paid leave or sick days. Or better, two people with dev/prepress skill, but that's like chasing Unicorns.
