How to trigger conditional flow based on file metadata

Post by sofaclean »

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to set up a flow in Enfocus Switch that routes files based on custom metadata (like job name or client ID). I want the flow to evaluate this metadata and then direct the file to different folders accordingly.

Is there a recommended way to do this using variables or expressions within Switch?
Also, can I use metadata from an external source (like a CSV or XML) as part of the routing logic?

Appreciate any guidance or examples from those who’ve done similar setups

Have you tried to make two outgoing connections from one folder to two folders. Then right click on the connection and select "Include jobs/Define conditions with variables"
Then you can set up rules on what should go in that outgoing connection.
