Re: Flow groups are not saved with restart Switch

Mine was under different path, "E:\Switch App Root\settings"
I happen to set Switch app root to E drive, perhaps that is the reason.

Re: Flow groups are not saved with restart Switch

I don't have suggestion, but can tell you that I had same behaviour on both 2017 and 2018.
It is not often, once in a while, usually if there is power outage or something so Switch does not exit cleanly, when it boots back up, it looses all groups.
I learned to live with it :)

Re: Best way to deal with Transparencies?

The only reason you would want to "deal" with transparency is if you don't have up to date modern PDF renderer that can handle transparency. In such case it is best to flatten it. Flattening can be tricky, depending on design and what was used to create it. Last resort would be to rasterize it. Depe...

Re: Switch 2018 and PitStop Server 2018

I am glad it helped, I run into same issue when upgraded while ago, it was big letdown until I figured it out.
Not sure why they changed it but I am not big fan of this change for sure.

Re: Switch 2018 and PitStop Server 2018

You have to put path, I remember running into same issue, see screenshot how I am using it now to add different base to PDF using Pitstop server

Re: Open program (in my case Acrobat) always minimized

FInd replacements. Instead of Acrobat and Photoshop, you can use various command line tools that are way more friendly than Adobe apps, most of them are also open source and free. Adobe apps, other than prohibitively expensive server versions are meant for desktop user, have GUI and are not so good ...

Re: Simple list of lowres images?

By using this method, I get nice, Images only xml, still includes all of them but I will deal with that later (want to get only warning ones). I am running into trouble with XSLT where Switch does not like that there is no old fashion closing tag. What I mean is if I use my XML as is, Switch XSLT do...

Re: Simple list of lowres images?

This is promising, did not realize it had it's own xslt, when I played with it, it was not obvious, only when I selected inline, it gave me choice.
Now have to figure out how to make it list only images with warning.

Thanks Ben

Simple list of lowres images?

Does anyone have XSLT or way to list all lowres images in simple way on report?
Something like image resolution-Page number.

Existing reports are either too complex (too many things on report) or too simple (do not give you breakdown of each image resolution).

Re: Send Mail: Define sender

They probably do not want to put this feature in Switch due to probable spam use.
For this particular reason, I am using little windows free app called Blat, http://www.blat.net/

Re: License before Downgrade

If I am understanding correctly, due to some other software that does not work on MacOSX 10.13 you have to downgrade to 10.12?? If so, you can just downgrade system and hope everything else works fine. In case you want to also downgrade to older version of Acrobat, than you have to first reinstall s...

Re: FEATURE REQUEST - Folders with Private Data

I am changing it to blue as well, and agree about icon thing.
Custom icon sounds like good thing to do if you want to organize it better.
Did not know it was requested as a feature already, where can I add my vote?

Re: Serious Issues with PitStop Server 2018 + SWITCH

In my case I lost all action lists that were standard. All my custom profiles and action lists were still there. Luckily I only had couple of standard actions in use, most of the things are customized on my end. It was easy just to pick new "standard" actions from new configurator and I was back up ...

Re: Flow to catch duplicate files

I have both of these in active use You setup database in MSSql or some other database. For this you need database configurator license. When file passes, you check database if the file name exist, if not you take name of the file and write it to database. If file exist in database, you do whatever t...

Re: Flow to catch duplicate files

You could setup database to update with name of each file and check if it exist.
