Re: Variables Standards
If what you are looking for is a way to ensure that all pages in a document have the same size, you can use "Check pages have same size" from the Action list editor. You can use this several times in an action list to check media-, trim- bleed box etc. If you want to check that the pages h...

Re: Metadata field dependency
@rhd-ole, so if I understand you correct the values in the parent field are predefined in the Submit Point and you then query the database for the values in the child-field based on the choice made in the parent field? That's interesting  Would you be willing to share the script that you are u...

Metadata field dependency
Is there any way to make a metadata field in a Submit Point dependent on the choice in a parent field, if the value in the parent field is retrieved from a database? I have a database containing all available medias in seperate rows. For each media there are different sizes (roll widths). When a spe...

Re: String Replace
That could works as well, Jimmy. Another way would be to use the Product ID and set it all up in the Submit Point. You have a dropdown with all the paper types. Then you create subfields with the Product ID as default value depending on the value in the parent field. You make the subfields invisible...

Re: String Replace
Yes, I know Row2Variables and it is very useful. In this case you can have all the names of the materials in one row and pick up the name that you want to translate it into as private data from another row, but you will still need to know for which printer. How would you know that without having to ...

Re: String Replace
That could be a solution as well, Jan. But if you do so I think you will have to sort files for the different printers before using Row2Variables, or am I missing something? If so you will need to maintain tables for materials for each printer, while in my example the name (Product ID) of a certain ...

Re: String Replace
In the Fiery paper catalog you can give each media a Product ID. This is just a number that you type in. If you give the same type of media the same Product ID on each of you printers you can use that instead of the long name defining the paper type. In the Fiery Pilot app you then choose "Prod...

Re: Futoba marks
We now have Fotoba marks in the latest version of Griffin, which is great. But how can you access these marks through Griffin Auto?

Re: Variable or default value
Thanks r.zegwaard! That indeed was simple but very clever
I didn't think of the idea with two different fields with the same name

Variable or default value
I want to use a variable to set a certain property. The variable is in the metadata from a checkpoint earlier in the flow. That part is easy ;) However, the metadata field that supplies this variable is a subfield of another field. The parent field is of the type "No-yes list". If the pare...

Re: Keeping jobs apart
In that case I think it would be appropriate for ESKO to remove this screendump from the Griffin documentation. This is indeed a Phoenix screenshot.

Re: hotfolder
If you are talking about the feature "Create outlines" the problem is probably due to license restrictions on the font. In Properties for the Pitstop element, you can set "Skip font license checks" to "Yes" but be sure, that you are not violating any license restrictions.

Re: Simple add bleed on document with no bleed
If you have Switch you could use variables to either run different PPPs or to define which actions to run depending on the existence of a trimbox.
