Re: FTP Receive

From the metadata you receive from the Submit point you could instead use the HTTP Request and use the GET command to pick up the file from the FTP-server. I might need to be set to accept HTTP calls.

That would be the simplest sollution.

Re: Apple Mac Studio ?

I have a few customers who run Switch on Mac Minis, some of them are a bit old today. It depends on what kind of jobs you have and quantity. "Normal" pdf's runs with no problems on a Mac Mini. If you have a lot of jobs with much image data then you might need something heavier but you will come a lo...

Re: Apple Mac Studio ?

I have Switch on a Mac Mini M1, runs without any problem. And it is very quick, even for being just a Mac Mini.

It is not a production server, for me it is just developing Switch stuff and testing.

Re: AutoProofing to email address

Using the switch API you can have submit points as templates for Webforms. It is also very simple for a Switch user to edit the files shown in the webform. They just change the properties of the Submit point and the webform will update without any knowledge about web programming. Snag_378764ee.png T...

Re: AutoProofing to email address

Well you can of course have a field with an email address in the submit point. If you only have the submit points on the local net it is possible to build a Web page that calls the submit point over the Switch REST-API. One way is then to send the Web form to a Switch Webhook. This works in the way ...

Re: Scheduled Flow Backup

You can do a normal backup of the folder they are stored in on disk:
C:\Users\theUserName\AppData\Roaming\Enfocus\Switch Server\flows

Just a bunch of XML-files.

Added to that it will also run a MongoDB Database server and a few Node.js JavaScript Runtime processes depending on any scripts or apps that you run.

Re: User experience to fix files

With PDF Review you can send them the Preflight report PDF that shows what's wrong with the file.

Another way is to from the XML-report make a nice looking email that give them the information on what's wrong.

Re: Concatenate two files to create new combined file

You can do this with pdftk (pdftoolkit) running from the Execute Command. You will need the App Execute Command Friend to construct the batch file for it to work with pdftk.
