Re: Trim box definition

You could try "Select page by its page box properties." Set it to select pages where the rim box isn't defined, then. change the trim box to whatever it needs to be. It will ignore pages that have a trim defined, regardless of size.

Switch 2021 Web Portal Submit points

Hello, I have 2021 testing on one of my servers, and the new feature where you can choose files from different locations is cool, but ally unnecessary in my workflow. Is there a way to disable the feature, because I think it will cause confusion when/if I release it to the operators who will be usin...

Re: convert raster image to pantone color

I tried adding a trace path, then filling that with reflex blue. I think it looks good, but I didn't tweak the settings at all. Do you think that would work for you?

Re: Remove Forms, keep text?

There's a standard action list called Flatten Form Fields to Normal Content that ought to do the job.

Re: Sending a print a job periodicallly

You can do this with a couple of free apps. Use Dummy Job Clock to inject a dummy file into the flow at whatever interval you need. Then you can use Inject Lite to pick up your print file from the static location, and copy it to the printers. It would look something like the attached image.

Re: Input folder with time-controlled outputs

This may or may not be what you're looking for. If you have an input folder with 3 outbound connections, each with a Hold Job attached to it, you can set a time-of-day condition on each hold (you set that in the outbound connection). Then each one is attached to the appropriate workflow.

Re: Hold files and release when file count is reached

Hi, there's an app in the app store called Hold Job Groups that ought to do the trick for you. I had a similar situation, except I had to change the end file count, just passing the app the variable I set up earlier in the flow works perfectly. Here's the link: https://www.enfocus.com/en/appstore/pr...

Re: Change PDF Document Dimensions to Trim Marks, plus 10mm

Hi,
This is easy enough to do with an action list. In the action list editor, under Page, you'll want to add two Change media box actions. Set the first one to resize the media box to the trim box, and then in the second, you can resize the media box by whatever given amount you need. Hope that helps.

Thank you, but I think I got it worked out. It's worked on all my test files, and I'll see what happens when it goes live.

Checking bleed

Hello, I am setting up a workflow to QC files before they move into imposition, and one of the checks I need to perform is checking that there is enough bleed in the file. I know there's the "Select Objects Close to Page Edge" action, but it actually warns the wrong way. In other words, it throws a ...

Re: Add a image as variable into a pdf

If you have Switch, you can use the cut/paste actions in the Pitstop configurator. I need to dynamically add a die line to different products, so I made a Switch flow that injects the die line PDF from a repository, merges it with the working file, then uses a cut/paste action to add it to the art, ...

Re: How do you hold a file until the rest copy?

Not sure if/how you would make this work, since you said you're not using FTP, but hopefully it gives you some ideas. This flow would copy all the print files to one location, and the text file to a user-managed folder (wherever you want it to be). Once the FTP is complete, it outputs a log file tha...
