Re: drill hole dieline safety margin

If the drill holes are objects on the PDF page you can select them and then select overlapping objects, perhaps combined with a select text. If anything is selected you know there's an issue.

Or you could do the same with select in region if you know where the holes are going to be.

Re: Separate spot colors from process

PDF layers support "visibility expressions". With this you can put objects in multiple layers, and only show them if both layers are on, or show them when either layer is on, or show them when one layer is on but the other is off, etc. These visibility expressions can be quite complex and are very p...

Re: In Pitstop pro profile working fine but in Pitstop server same profile there is color variation in graphics

In your screenshot of the Preflight Profile editor colour management is not set. That means the application-specific colour management settings will be used. This is not really clear in the UI unfortunately. In PitStop Server colour management is set in two places: 1. The Preferences: menu bar - Win...

Re: Metadata Logging Data from Pitstop Report Log

Version 3 XML reports should have an element "ColorType" with all the information you need. Version 1 and 2 reports probably have the same information in there somewhere, but it'll be much harder to find. I strongly recommend using v3 reports.

Re: Page Scaling Factor

Sometimes when PitStop Pro changes things in the document, Acrobat doesn't refresh correctly. Sometimes that's Acrobat being stupid, sometimes it's PitStop not telling Acrobat to update.

Glad you found it :).

Re: convert raster image to pantone color

The ideas of both jslater and abailescollins could work quite well, depending on your needs. Here's another option. * If the image is ICC tagged, untag it. * Turn colour management off. * Convert the image to Gray. * Remap (not convert) the image to the spot colour. * If desired, use a curve or chan...

You'd get a flat list if the search is active. Do you see a small x in a circle in the search box? If so, try clicking that to clear the search.

Have you looked at Esko's ArtPro+? It has a focus on packaging PDFs.

Re: Random Spot Colors - Convert to CMYK

LasseThid that Action List will convert all spot colours because a check does not change the selection. If you want to only convert spot colours that are not in a specific PANTONE library, you can use "Select spot color" and set it to "Select Spot Color by PANTONE color library". If you want to sele...

Re: Clean up content converting strokes to fills

Change the Select all right before Crop line art to: Select spot color NOT In the spot color selection make it select a spot color by name and fill out or select the Dieline spot color. This will select everything _except_ objects using the Dieline separation. You can also use a regular expression o...

Re: Action list not performed icm preflight

Sorry I misunderstood. The GWG profile contains a number of changes regarding page boxes. In the Profile Editor go to the Action List tab try disabling everything in the "Changes" list and try again. If it works then try re-enabling the change Action Lists one by one to find which one breaks it. My ...

I don't think you'll be able to do that with PitStop. You probably need something like Esko's Studio https://www.esko.com/en/solutions/flexi ... nk-sleeves

Re: Action list not performed icm preflight

How are you calling the CLI? More specifically, how are you telling it which Preflight Profile and Action List(s) to use? I believe that on the command line you can only pass one at a time, but if you use a config xml you can have as many as you want.

Re: Error - No other information

That "Error" in your screenshot is the preflight status. That is: a check somewhere in the Preflight Profile or Action List(s) you use flagged an error in the PDF. This may be a bit confusing, but this doesn't necessarily mean anything went wrong! It could for example just be that the PDF contains a...
