You can use a Preflight profile and from the Color tab select Spot color as per the grab.

A few ways to do it.
There's a default action in PitStop
Check for Rich Black (K 85%, TAC 280%) turn to K
You could add a selection for text only etc.

You're nearly there.
You would need to add a log selection It shouldn't pick up non spot contour.
If you can post your action and test file it makes it easily to understand what isn't working for you.
